BREAKING NEWS – CHANGES TO MANAGEMENT TEAM

Hi all,

I hope I find you and your families well and safe. I sadly have no news yet on when football can resume and when we can start cheering on the mighty ‘Yachtsmen’ again. However, we have some exciting developments at the club to get you ready for the coming season (whenever it may be).

First things first, I’d like to clarify the rumours around the reserves managers position. As of now, Steve Mumford will no longer be the reserves team manager. I would like to thank Steve for everything he has done over his time at the club – supporting the reserves through a challenging time where there was a lot of change all at once. I’m sure he will go on to bigger and better things and will be around to cheer the boys on when he can.

Although it was a tough decision, we feel we are making the best decision to support the youth set-up at the club and to further develop the good work over the last season or two in the reserves. Ensuring the younger and older heads in the reserves get quality training from a qualified coach which will not only have a positive impact on the reserves, who we believe can challenge for honours on the island. But for the first XI, by pushing for starting places.

Once again we thank Steve for his commitment over the last few months and wish him all the best for the future. Keep an eye out for the next announcement about the management team at Cowes – changes afoot.

Stay safe and well,

MAX DRAPERFirst Team Manager
